Malissa Lojszczyk is the second grade teacher for Ascension of Our Lord Catholic
School. Ms. Malissa, as she is known to students, has been an educator for 12 years,
10 of which have been at AOL. Within those years, she has taught first grade, second
grade, and middle school math.
Ms. Malissa is a graduate of Archbishop Chapelle High School in Metairie and she
received her B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans. In
addition to her teaching duties, she is the moderator for the 4-H Club. She also
shares her love of the performing arts as director of the annual Christmas pageant
play and the spring musical. She also plays an active role in the Crusaders Got Talent
show.
In her spare time, Ms. Malissa loves traveling, musical theater, reading, and all things
Disney. Even though she is a UNO grad, she bleeds purple and gold in support of her
beloved LSU Tigers baseball team. It was one of the top 5 greatest moments of her
life to be in the stands when they won the College World Series in Omaha last year!
Ms. Malissa believes that teaching is a calling and she is blessed to be a part of the
AOL family. There aren’t many things that are better than inspiring a love of learning
and getting to watch that spark of knowledge ignite when students finally get a
concept or skill. She is so grateful that she gets to experience that every day!
